The square space garbage disposal should be eating this blog up within a couple of days. Look forward to my blog as I post of my experiences in the nursing program!

    Cancelling Account

After much thought I am going to be cancelling my account here on squarespace. Mainly because I can go to another service that is FREE! Which that is really cool - and appeals to me a whole whole lot. While Squarepsace has a lot to offer, I don't nessecarily use all the features ... so why pay for stuff you don't even use?

Im looking at several places to change my blog over to - so in the meantime this will keep!

I will let you know when the official change will take place, and where to go! All the content on this website will go with it, so no worries.

    Haven't Updated

Haven't had a real chance yet to fully update the blog. I plan on changing the whole interface and how everything should look on the blog.

Some good news though, got a 4.0 this semester so the GPA looks a little better!

    Star Trek (2009): A Review

Not really sure where to begin with the review of this movie. However, what I can say from this point on will be totally positive. I knew that the movie would be a great movie anyway. JJ Abrams is a prodigy and he ranks among the elites such as Stephen Spielberg and many others. With Cloverfield being such an amazing success I see the movie Star Trek being around for a long time in the movie theaters.

The casting was almost too perfect. There can sometimes be a problem in a movie if the actors don't compliment each other - which definitely keeps you from concentrating on the movie, and more on their flaws. In this movie the casting was amazing. Actors like Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Eric Bana starred in this movie. The plot itself was interesting and unique. I really loved how they didn't try to create anything too new and stuck to a lot of the old Star Trek ideas and story lines. Usually when you stray too much from the original idea of something it can get a little crazy and not be as good.

A favorite scene of mine, which was short and had no major effect to the plot, was when the ship entered behind one of Saturns moons and the ship slowly rised through one of the rings. I think it was just because of the graphics, which is a good reason. The special effects in the movie was out of this world, especially with what they did with one of the planets.
The ending was also really amazing. I believe that one of the most important parts of a movie is the ending. If you can completely wrap up a movie in a unique way and it make sense it can make that movie so much better.

I will probably go see this movie about two more times. They say that you had to watch it at least twice to really get the full picture. Hopefully, if possible we can get a group of people and actually go watch it again! Though, with the way that finals are looking it may be a little bit of a hassle.

I guess I'll end you this with this amazing video. A friend sent it to me today. May the Lord bless each and everyone of you this week.

    Trekkies Aren't So Bad

There is a lot of hype about a movie that has just came out. It's interesting how within a short span of 24 hours there are now double the amount of Star Trek fans. From the looks of the movie and what previews I have been able to see the movie looks pretty amazing. The director, JJ Abrams is also the same guy that made the movie Cloverfield.

I wrote about Cloverfield when it first came out.

Haven't seen the new Star Trek movie yet, but from what my friends have told me about this movie it should be pretty good. Me and a couple of friends were talking today of how when we were little kids, the cool thing was to stay up and watch Star Trek. We actually thought we were doing something because it was always so much past our bedtime. The news would come and go, then the show would start with these famous words: "Space. The final frontier..."

This will definitely be a movie that a lot of people will talk about for a while. I'm pretty sure that there are a couple hard core trekkies out there freaking out right now and probably re-evaluating some life goal that they have. Maybe to travel the speed of light? Who knows, but for action and everything blowing up it should be nice. I can't wait to see what they done with that spaceship.

If the show can make it look cool, then Lord knows what JJ Abrams can do!

Oh, and if you want another reason to go watch it: Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 96%
